A short guide for Mac and Windows.

  1. Download the Mac disk image and open the DMG file.
  2. Run the setup file and follow the prompts.
  3. Allow Screen Recording and Input Monitoring for RustDesk when macOS asks.
  4. Open RustDesk and find your desktop ID on the left.

To share: Give your trusted helper the ID shown under “Your Desktop.” They enter it in RustDesk, request access, and you approve the request.

To help: Ask for the other person’s RustDesk ID. Enter it in “Control Remote Desktop,” then select Connect. Wait for the other person to accept.

The downloads configure remote.directnorth.digital automatically. Only connect with people you know and trust.
